Primary Year Programme

5 to 11 years 1st std to 5th std

The PYP curriculum is a philosophy and a methodology for young learners from 1 to std 5. In this programme, emphasis is placed on trans-disciplinary and inquiry-based learning.

The core focus of VIS is learning and teaching in a caring, safe and welcoming environment where students are challenged to learn and display their ability. The school believes in encouraging children to enquire, to do research work and question themselves How? Why? and When?.

What is the Primary Years Program (PYP)?

The most significant and distinctive feature of the Primary Years is the balance between learning about the subject areas and learning beyond them. These themes are about issues which are important to all of us.
